To create a vibrant and vital downtown Hastings by activating vacant and underutilized spaces to support local businesses, maintain historic rural character, and create a "welcoming" environment for all residents and visitors.

WHAT IS THE MAIN STREET PROGRAM?
The Main Street Program, initiated by the National Main Street Center, supports the revitalization of historic downtowns and commercial districts. It provides resources and a structured approach known as the Main Street Approach to help communities renew and revitalize their downtown districts.

HASTINGS MAIN STREET ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Formation of Our Non-Profit and Florida Main Street Designation
Establishing our organization and gaining official recognition was a crucial first step in our journey.

Successful Events
We hosted the Fall Festival of Art in collaboration with the St. Augustine Art Association, organized monthly community meetings, and held five vibrant Markets on Main Street.

Revitalization of Traditions
We reignited the beloved Cabbage and Potato Festival and collaborated with the Rotary Club of Hastings to bring back the Great Hastings Mow Down.

Business Growth
Main Street welcomed three new small businesses—Main St. Pizza, Belle's Seafood Market, and Hastings Coffee Co.—which have quickly become community favorites.
