$9.5M Grant Secured for Solar Energy and Automotive Training Center in Hastings 

The St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners and St. Johns County School Board will receive a $9.5 million grant to build a solar energy and diesel automotive workforce training center in Hastings, with an additional $1.8 million in local funds matching the EDA investment.

Celebrating Hastings for

Historic Preservation Month

At the May 21, 2024, St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners Regular Meeting, Sarah Arnold, Chair, District 2, issued a Proclamation to Hastings community members recognizing May 2024 as Historic Preservation Month. The Proclamation included the debut of Hasting’s new video Roots & Renewal Hastings’ Story of Revival.

Improvements

St. Johns County Making Progress on $30M in Infrastructure Improvements in Hastings. Since St. Johns County took over the Town of Hastings after its dissolution in 2018, the Board of County Commissioners has been committed to improving infrastructure in the area.

& Library

St. Johns County Announces Final Architectural Design for Hastings Community Center and Library – St. Johns County is proud to announce the Hastings community selected a design for the new Hastings Community Center and Library.

Secretary Byrd Recognizes Florida Main Street's Newest Participating Communities

On August 15, 2023, the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) passed a resolution supporting the Hastings Main Street, Inc. FY23-24 Florida Main Street Program Application.
